As part of this push, there are now numerous sources of free energy saving advice on all aspects of making your home more efficient.
Your Local Council
Different local authorities have different schemes and incentives to help residents with bills, saving energy and money.
Find your local council’s contact details on the Gov.uk website and ask about free advice, grants and support specific to your area.
Your Energy Supplier
All energy suppliers are obliged to help customers struggling with bills and support the Government in meeting its efficiency targets.
Most suppliers offer free advice, information packs and discounts on some energy saving products depending on your circumstances.
You’ll find contact details for your supplier(s) on your latest bill. If you’re unsure who your supplier is, you can enter your post code into the following tools:
Find My Supplier (Gas): Enter your post code to see who your gas supplier is.
Energy Networks Association (Electricity): Enter your post code to see who your electricity network provide is. Contact them, and they’ll confirm who your supplier is.
